Joseph Lexa is the founder and president of BuyingSunshine. While serving as Vice President and General Counsel for real estate developer, Magna Properties, Inc., a division of the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, Mr. Lexa worked on solving the problems and completing the development of five major Florida subdivisions.

It was during his tenure with Magna Properites that Mr. Lexa became profoundly aware of the marketing abuses that characterized the sale of Florida land during the 1960s and early 1970s. He saw the need for not only a worry-free, but an economical means for customers to purchase a Florida home site. Mr. Lexa sought to introduce the highest level of integrity to the business of selling home sites.

Soon after founding BuyingSunshine, Mr. Lexa was joined by Randy L. Barney, who shared in Mr. Lexas vision to offer its customers confidence and value. Mr. Barney created our original website, BuyingSunshine.com as the internet was evolving.
